Translating to “circular dome”, Gol Gumbaz is the mausoleum of king Mohammed Adil Shah, the Sultan of Bijapur (now Vijayapura, Karnaataka). Started in 1626, construction and completed in 1656, it features the second largest dome ever built in the world, next to Rome’s St Peter’s Basilica.
It is famous for the whispering gallery that echoes even the slightest sounds more than seven times.
Handcrafted and an honest replica of the original, this piece of art would lend the magic of history and culture to the interiors.
